Treatment Philosophy

Justin’s approach is highly collaborative in nature, and he believes the process of therapy is one of constant mindful attunement between therapist and client to find the right path that facilitates healing. He employs an amalgamation of different modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, in supporting his clients. Justin strives to create a therapeutic safe harbor where individuals can gain self-awareness, become empowered, and discover the tools within themselves to overcome their challenges. He is strength-based, value-driven, and applies a self-compassion-based focus in his work with clients.

Professional Experience

Justin has been in the field of psychology for the past 10 years, during which he has worked in a wide range of different settings, including non-profit organizations, a group home, private practice, various telehealth platforms, and a number of school-based counseling environments. He currently operates his own private practice based in Santa Barbara, CA, which focuses on serving primarily young adults and adults who struggle with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, substance use, and self-esteem/identity issues. He is committed to providing services that are culturally attuned, person-centered, and informed by a holistic lens of client care.

Personal Life

In his downtime, Justin enjoys running, surfing, hiking, skiing, camping, reading, practicing meditation, drawing, and being immersed in nature. Aside from supporting individuals in their respective healing journeys, his biggest passion in life is making music
